UPCONVERT DVD PLAYER HDMI PROBLEM

Question

i just recently purchased a samsung upconvert 1080p dvd player model number DVD-1080P8 its Anynet+ compatble and i have it hooked up to a 56 inch samsung dlp model number hl56a650 and it is anynet wich means any samsung product like a dvd player with this feature you will bw able to use one remote. this is whats going on i uplugged my tv before insatlling the dvd plyer i bought the hdmi cable from best buy the generic brand around 49 dollars so i plugged the dvd player to the hdmi port to the tv and pluged the tv and the player in turned the tv on and changed the source to the hdmi anynet which automatically turns on the dvd player put transformers the movie in and it starts searching for signal the n the picture comes on but then 5 or 10 seconds later the picture goes blank and the tv says searching for signal keeps doing that so i figured it was the hdmi cable so took the cheap one back and purchased the monster cable for 79.99 unpluged every thing and did the process again same result pictures goes and comes back every 5 or 10 seconds so turned and umplugged everything and plugged my xbox 360 elite with the same hdmi cable that it came with and played for about 3 hours with no problem so i figured it was the dvd player took it back to bestbuy swaped it for exact same one did the same process again same **** called samsung they told me that if the xbox played fine then its not the tv told me to return the dvd player for another one whats the chance the 3 rd will do the same any one have sugest or know how to fix it im about frustrated
