According to the tracking, it was delivered on 8/15/07 at 5:48PM and I got home around 9:00PM. If someone stole it, is there anything UPS or buy.com(where I bought it from) can do about it?

The item was a GPS system...

  1. I am a business owner with a UPS business account. UPS automatically insures every package for a certain amount - I want to say it's $100. buy.com is the company you need to contact first - get them to confirm you ordered and their shipper, UPS, is liable that you did not receive your package.UPS must have had a newbie driver who didn't know the rules. In my experience - UPS won't leave a package sitting outside - they should have left you a notice that you could come pick it up at their location because they attempted to deliver on time. Let buy.com go after UPS for the insurance to refund you. If buy.com is a reputable company, they should offer a replacement and you can have that package sent to you where a signature is required, guaranteed that way that you did receive it.

    Best Wishes!

  2. Call them with your tracking number!!

  3. you have to report it as theft.

call your local cops then call UPS and tell them no more drops without your signature.

I worekd at verizon wirless and several people had this problem when cell phones were delivered.
