UPS trucks CANT turn left?

Question

I heard that UPS trucks can not turn left. If they have to turn left they have to keep going and make a giant circle around the city only doing right turns until they get to where they need to.

The truck is designed to turn right but they aren't suppose to, even though some of them do anyways. Ever since I heard this ive watched UPS trucks and ive never seen one turn left, so does anyone know if this is true or not?

Partially, Since UPS trucks are always on the run as you seen them. They hate waiting to make a Left Turn, they know the streets pretty good so they avoid at all instances making Left Turns. Waiting on a Traffic Light makes them waste valuable time, I was a Delivery Driver and we also hated left turns, also a veteran UPS Driver told me that his supervisor insisted on them to make less Left turns on Traffic Light Stops.

UPS has created routes for its drivers that require right turns more so than left.  It's about getting from point A to point B to point C without backtracking.  They're doing it to save $ on fuel.

I saw it on the news the other day.  They say they save millions per year.

I've just seen a thing on Discovery or Nat Geo about this.   They're routing is done for the most efficient way of running.  to make right turns doest require as much time idling witing for trafic to clear before turning so they get to more places a little quicker and more on time.  So it is true,  but sometimes they have to make lefts.  i've only seen them make a left to get on the freeway or back onto their home base street.

Two wrongs don't make a right but 3 rights make a left. Have you ever considered how much gas you waste sitting idling in the left turn lane? UPS has.

They've created routes and GPS that when a driver can bypass the intersection, make  right turns and get to the street uses that. Seems it does save gas!

Try it on your commute. 8-)
