URG Can i mix oilS?? 10 pointS! to the real biker.?

ok im short of oil.. i put a gallon of Sintetic Klotz, but i need just a bit more, not more than a quarter of a litre.. but i just have semisinthetic Shell.. can i just add it? some ppls say dont do that and others with more experience say.. actually is not a problem..

What is the true?

  1. I work at a Partsource and I can tell you that the difference between a full synthetic and a blend are not that great.

    Go ahead and add it nothing to worry about.


  2. Organics and synthetics cannot be mixed. But you can mix semi-synthetics with either of them, full synthetic or organic.

I have done this when caught out.My theory is its better to use any thing rather than nothing.I would think that the oil gets mixed whilst getting pumped around your engine.Do take care my son once put transmission in a field bike125cc 4 stroke and it dissintegrated and started rattling in no time.

  4. You can mix conventional with synthetics, your Shell semisynthetic is exactly that, a blend of conventional and synthetic oils.
