  1. multiply .09 by both the t and 50

    .09t + 4.5 + .15t = 52.5

    then add the t number and subtract the 4.5 from the 52.5 on the other side.

    .24t = 48

    then divide 48/.24

    t=200

  2. You must first distribute and combine t's before you can solve for t.

    0.09t+(50*0.09)+0.15t=52.5

    Simplify 0.09t+0.15t

    Simplify 50*0.09

    (0.09t+0.15t)+(50*0.09)=52.5

    (0.09t+0.15t)=52.5-(50*0.09)

    Then you should be able to divide the right side by the numbers preceding t on the left side to find the answer of t. Sorry, I don't have a calculator handy right now.

  3. Looks like you need to solve for t.

    Here is a helpful phrase:  Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

    or Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction to remember which order to do the equation.

    You can't further simplify "t+50" so multiply .09 by (t+50) to get (0.09*t)+(0.09*50).

    Once you do that, you can continue with the equation.

    *Hint*- You can add number together if they have the same variables or no variables.  Ex.  2+5=7 but 2+5t=2+5t.  On the other hand, 2t+5t=7t.

    I hope this helps.
