Hi All, we are travelling to Nha Trang in 2days, 17th march 2008 and we are asking if arriving without booking a hotel is a good or bad idea. We are concerned we can not get a room as our internet enquiries are not successful. We are seeking rooms less than $120US and any suggestions or assistance is greatly appreciated..

  1. Hey there i am an Aussie and i have been living in Nha Trang for 2yrs now.... I would suggest that you get a hotel here when you arrive there will be know problem with that and if you are looking for good accm at a reasonable price may i suggest Asia Paradise Hotel. Great location and not expensive................... Have a good trip .... i would say come visit me but i am going to Saigon on those days... however if you are still there on Wed go to the Jolly Leprechaun Irish pub at Melia Sunrise Hotel you will see me there.... I am part of a band

  2. You will have no problem what so ever.Is 120 a misprint or do you mean 12 USD,there are many hotels with nice sea views air/con ect with vacancies at around 15 USD,if you post your exact requirements i can give  you some names and a phone number.

    International dial 0084. Vietnam 058.

Asia Paradise 524686. Nha Trang Lodge[the best one]521500. Phu Quy 2 525050.I have checked and they all have vacancies, also all 3 will send a courtysy car to pick you up from airport train station ect.All have prices from 40-110 USD and are quite nice.Hope you have a lovely time and if you need any more help post or e-mail me.

  3. Lots of Hotel space in Nha Trang and we never book before we arrive.  Both other people that answered are right on with their comments.  One thing to remember, the airport is quite far away so the comment about booking in advance and being picked up by your hotel is a good one.  But... $120 a night in Vietnam is just a waste of money.  I rarely spend more than $15 and when I do I expect a lot. With your budget you definitely don't have to worry!!!

Tips;  When on the beach, spend the extra buck and use the Sailing club or the Louisiana.  They keep the flock of Hawkers away from you and are both nice facilities.  Nha Trang is a party town so let your hotel of choice know that you prefer a quieter section of the hotel.  Heck, tell them you are honeymooning and they will go all big eyed and give you more help and service than you actually want.  I guarantee that you will have a great time.  Have fun!
