URGENT!!! Betta fish question... eggs are hatching but....?

Question

The eggs are finally hatching but the dad isn't helping out- as in, fry are falling to the bottom of the bowl, but the dad isn't picking them back up and putting them back in the nest.

I saw a fry swimming back to the surface- but that's the only one I've seen doing that. The other ones have just fallen to the bottom and not done anything....

WHAT SHOULD I DO????

Hi, from what I have read on this website you should be safe to take out your male.
