what can i buy other then proactive that can prevent pimples ?

Use a mild cleanser in the am and pm.  Follow up with hydrogen peroxide as a toner/astringent.  (It's pretty much the same as benzoyl peroxide.)  Use an oil free moisturizer with a sunscreen.  I didn't believe it until I tried it, but even the oiliest skin needs a moisturizer.  Your skin will feel much smoother.

i use clean and clear morning burst in the a.m.! then when i'm in the shower i use St. Ives apricot scrub (to take off dead skin cells that clog pores) and OXY daily wash and OXY bar soap! then at night i use OXY pads and OXY spot treatment you can find these products anywhere

LOL this is urgent to me, I hate pimples! I use Aveeno products sold pretty much anywhere, but just read the labels and find what your skin type needs, what works for one may not work for another. I was using a whole kit from Clearisil that was working wonderfully and then stopped all together, not sure if my skin changed?? Anyway, yes definitly wash your face morning and night no matter what.

Hmm i would say either oxy or stridex. They both work good(: and if you want a acne moisturizer try clean & clear advantage acne moisturizer. i use it and it works greattt=]
