  1. Check with -

  2. Cheap Day restrictions are any train that reaches the terminus point of the service before 10am in the morning Monday to Friday with a few easements on some services (as in the next train would be say 10.30 arrival) and in the evening restrictions on some services leaving London or other Terminus Starting points between 3pm and 7pm especially on busy routes.

As a rule of thumb the later restirictions in the afternoon are mainly out of Paddington, Euston and Kings Cross.

If you are unsure always ask the Ticket Clerk, Barrier Staff, Platform Staff or Conductor on the train for advice where possible.

    Hope this helps.

  3. It all depends on the journey you are making, but generally cheap day returns are not valid before 09.30 nor between 15.45 and 18.30 on weekdays. There are no restrictions at weekends or on bank holidays.

  4. depends completely on where you are going.

  5. Peak is before 9.30 am and between 4pm-6pm
