  7. Inflammation of the laminae . The horse will limp in pain. I have a foundered horse right now. He foundered on grass but has never done that before. He spent 8 days in the equine hospital and had to be shoed with a special shoe to take weight off his toe. He is now in a small paddock area, not allowed to go out into the pasture to graze. It has cost many $$$ to pull him through this. If possible, avoid founder at all costs.

  8. Basically founder is swelling inside the horses foot. It happens usually when the horse eats too much grain and/or when they eat too much fresh grass.  the foot usually grows really long and wide and starts to curl.

  9. actually none of these are absolutely correct.  the proper selection would be line 2 of what is offered.
