URGENT Horse Question..PLEASE HELP??

What should you do if your horse has a bowed tendon?

* Take the horse on short walks while the tendon heals

* Allow them to rest as long as needed

* All of these

* Give them anti-inflammatory medications

~Anyone Know??

  1. you should have your vet inject stem cells in the bowed tendon. www.vet-stem.com

    its also on youtube for dogs, but has worked in lots of horses.


  2. I would take the horse on short walks and give it lots of rest. If the horse doesn't get better within a couple of weeks I would take it to the vet. I hope your horse gets better soon. Hope this helped :)~!

  3. Well he should not be going out on grass he should go in a sand pen or lunging pen for half of a day! Taake him on shoety walks and let him graze! Also give him a lot of attention it is a hard time for him! Also talk to your local vet! Bath him and groom him a lot! Good luck with your horse!

  4. Consult your vet before giving your horse any medications.

    If it is bad i would box rest the horse to ensure it doesn't worsen the condition while running around in the field.  I would take the horse for short walks and allow it to graze for a few minutes.  

    The horse should let you know if it's in too much pain to walk far.

  5. I would go with all of them to be honest.
