URGENT! How to delete a shortcut that could be a Virus! HELP

My friend has her laptop right next to mine, and she has some kind of virus that wont let her delete a fake windows security shortcut. Everytime we try to delete it, it says needs permission and there is a try again option. we cant delete it and really need to! help us figure this out! any suggestions would be great!

log in as administrator !!!!

Get some anti-virus stuff, plain and simple. You can buy one, but that's much too expensive. Try getting avast or something. Lavasoft's Adaware is cool, too. I, honestly, have forgotten the name of the best one, though. Just don't get Norton. It may not be a virus, but it slows the c**p out of your computer anyway.

Deleting a shortcut will not solve your problem as it will most likely reappear on restart and the fact that the program behind it is still installed.

Please try running a full scan with MalwareBytes Antimalware:

And if it still remains, try a scan with Rogue Remover:

After that download and run a quick scan with SuperAntispyware:

And should your friend need an antivirus for her laptop try downloading AVAST!(it is free):

And for future use if you ever find a stubborn file that refuses to be deleted or moved you can use unlocker:

just right click on the file and select unlocker.

scan it with your anti-virus and then have it take care of it

if you don't have an anti-virus, download avast! anti-virus

Try searching the virus in google, there's usually a way to delete it. Best way is to find it in the registry, but I don't know the details of the virus
