  1. Rashes can be indicative of starvation. Drinking only water and tea for weeks at a time is deeply unhealthy. You should stop and resume a normal diet as soon as possible.

  2. fasting is so unhealthy. I just dont get some people.

  3. your body's reaction to the toxins that are being eliminated.  give it time and your body will be desentasized to that process.

  4. Your body could be ridding itself of toxins, as that's usually the reason for people to fast, to clean themselves out. Or, your body could be in crisis mode due to inadequate nutrition, and now is unable to care for itself, resulting in rashes and allergic reactions. Why on earth have you been fasting for a few weeks? That's an awfully long time. Who's advice was this and are you under professional supervision? I'm guessing what is happening is due to the latter reason. Usually, rashes will appear within the first week or so of a fast, not many weeks later. Humans are meant to eat. If you're going to do anything, eat a healthy diet and forget about fasting, period.

  5. I wonder what kind of fast are you doing. Does your fast include taking juices or supplements? If you you may be allergic to one of the things you are relying on during your fast.

It is also possible that you are having a detox reaction. It may be that toxins long stored in your body are now being broken down and in order to be eliminated they need to be carried through the body by the blood. Some will be eliminated through the breath, some through the skin, some through the bladder and some through the bowels.

You could be breaking out due to the high concentration of toxins in the blood before they get eliminated or this could be a reaction to toxins being released through the skin.

I would consult with your natural health practitioner just to be sure. Drink more water and dry brush your skin daily before bathing to help with elimination through the skin.

  6. Fasting is beneficial to health, do it no more than 3 days per month. The rashes might be due to inadequate nutrition and/or a Herxheimers Reaction. Nonetheless, see a medical doctor, don't rely on conjecture on yahoo answers, or mine for that matter.

    Hope this helps.
