i have a baby crow that fell out his nest this morning, i gave the mother like 6 hours and she never came back for him. I work at an animal hospital and the vet gave me instructions on how to take care of it. We closed at 6 so i cannot contact her. Im wondering, where can i get great information on weaning a baby crow. and do they usually fall asleep right after they eat? He's still breathing so he's not dead, but is very weak from being so long without food. i couldnt get my hands on mealworms, everyone was out so i gave him baby bird formula. Thank you for your help

  1. well you did the only thing you could do and this is the correct thing because you are providing the food and water that this bird needs to stay hydrated most importantly until you can contact a rescue and release org. in your area and the vet you work for. If the petstores in your area do not carry meal worms to keep up with simple supply and demand try to look up the local hunting supply places. You will be surprised how many local stores close by carry a supply of insects mostly for fisherman...just as surprised as I was when I got frustrated with my local pet stores not having a regular supply of food for my daughters pet gecos and bearded dragons

  2. TAKE HIM TO PROJECT WILDLIFE!!! (Look it up on google.)
