  1. i got 43.2

    5/2=108/x

    cross multiply and you get 216=5x

    divided by 5 equals x=43.2

    not sure if i'm right but hey i tried! :)

  2. Sgt Pepper is correct. However I have another method.

    If the smaller triangle is 108, divide by 2 and get 54.

    You divide by 2 because the ratio is 5:2. Next multiply 54 x 5 to get 270.

  3. 540

    108*5.2=540

  4. Simple, the answer is 270 in. All you have to do is cross multiplication:

    5:2 can be written as 5/2 (a fraction). Let x represent the side you want to find. The perimeter of the smaller triangle is 108 in. So

    x/108 = 5/2.

    108 times 5 = 540

    540 divided by 2 =270

    x=270 hope that helps.

  5. 1. Start out with a proportion: 5/2 = x/108

    2. Cross multiply: 2x = 540

    3. Divide 2 by both sides: x = 270

  6. 5/2 = x/108

    cross multiply you get 2x=540

    solve for x

    x=540/2

    x= 270

    the perimeter of the larger triangle is 270 in.
