URGENT PLEASE HELP! I have cheerleading practice tomarrow HELP ON HEEL STRETCHES

Ok so i want to be a flyer so ive been stretching all summer and when i stand against a wall someone can push my leg all the way up to like my shoulder but i cant do it by myself. idk i just cant kick it up that high to hold it and when i can its really hard to hold. Ok... now i can already sit in my side splits all the way so as you can see i got the flexibility thing down... i just cant hold it!!! i dont want all my work to go down the drain please give me some tips!!!

  1. get telephone books and when you go into your splits put those under your heels so that it makes your splits bigger (did that make sense?).  that's what i do so my splits are bigger, that should help. i dance.


  2. Try holding it as long as u can while u r whatching tv. It will kind of be eaisier because you are whatching tv you will be kind of distracted of the pain, hold it as long as you can.  After you can't bear it anymore go back to your starting position for a second then do it again! Then you will be able to hold it longer, eventually you will be able to do it!
