I lost the CD to installing this printer, but I heard you can download it from the internet? Where can you? And when I plug the printer into the computer, the computer dosen't even recognize it, should that happen? Please I need urgent response !!!!!

There's nothing on HP for download for the 8253.  I only see 8250.

Try calling them if those don't work.

go to hps' website and look up your model it should be available for free
