I'm not sure how to switch the view from the little eye thingy to the lcd monitor before taking the picture. I'm tired of looking at into viewfinder and want to see the picture on the lcd screen before taking the picture.

can anyone help me how to switch between the 2 screens?

  1. My Canon 40d has live view, but I've never used it. Your images will be more stable if you hold the camera properly using the eyepiece.

BTW, read your manual over...it really helps to understand the camera.

  2. yep the person above me is correct, that camera doesnt have a live view

you will find that the only DSLRs with live view are the very expensive top of the range ones. the cheaper ones just dont seem to have them.

  3. Sorry, your camera doesn't have live view ( which means you can view a live shot of your image before it's captured ) You've left a point and shoot, and ventured into the world of digital SLR photography. If you didn't know, not many digital SLR's have live view. Only the recent digital SLR's have live view. I agree with Perki88, holding a heavy digital SLR at arm's lenght is just crazy, and it would look rather ridiculous. You might as well look through the viewfinder, i mean, you don't have a choice in the matter. Live view isn't all that necessary.

  4. what you want is "live view", the sony a200 does not have live view,
