The best way to pick out a name is to get a book of names and then figure out the emotions and reasons your character is there and then go through the book and find a name that fits that-lots of writers pick names whose meanings coincide with the character-for example Emily means nurse so a good nurses name would be Emily or Emma-Diana means huntress so it is a good for a woman on the prowl or looking for love-Good Luck
