  1. Depends on the case.  If it's Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine then tell the judge that you're a libertarian and are opposed to the war on drugs because it causes more harm than the use of drugs itself.

If someone is being charged with child abuse, then tell the judge that you were sexually molested by your uncle and you don't feel that you can be objective about it.

And so on, you get the idea.

  2. did you ever stop to consider it just may be your vote, your insight that could either convict or let free a guilty or innocent man?

Why don't you start your adult hood in an adult manner and respect and live up to your responsibilities. Many men and women have fought and died to preserve your right to freedom and to live in this land responsibly and you are starting your adulthood with the attitude that it's just too much trouble to sit in a jury box for probably no more than a day or two, and you can't even do that?  What a disgrace

  3. tell them you have a gripe against the complainent or the plaintiff, that you are biased and prejudiced in this matter and hold hostilities in any thing to do with the individual, . find out who is the defendant, who is their attorney. call them and say you have been called to jury duty in the case his client is involved in. and have hostilities or prejudicial views about his client. and request to be dismissed from acting as a juror on his case.. prosecutors and defense attorneys screen potential jurors for sitting in judgement on their case. those biased/prejudiced, or hostil to either side in a case should be dismissed. it's growin'up time boy. the courts don't give a d**n about some teenage personal issues of prior stress. all they care about is whether or not the potential jurors have any hidden motives that could s***w up their case, like a personal prejudice against a client, a bias in the case or hostilitiy toward their client, eg: grudge for some past event that would leave you an opportunity to get even... can you digg where they're comin from.? so far you have handled the matter with as much grace as a one legged duck you can no longer deal with things like a highschooler. you're in the adult world now, and you're going to have to deal with it, like it or not, unless you are allready sworn into the military, and are scheduled to leave for military training. don't even try to fake them out on this one. they'll check and nail you.!!

  4. tell them you are a conservative and you listen to Rush everyday and you watch Glen Beck at nite. they will be scared to death of you.also I think you will owe it to Rush and Glen to at least check out their programs.you will be more successful in life with the insight you pick from these two guys !

  5. move out of state lol..

  6. Just tell them that if the state accuses someone of a crime then they must be guilty. You will be let go.

  7. Tell the judge that you know he/she is guilty just

by looking at them, and that they should get the

    chair.lol....just kidding

  8. Tell them your going away...that you've already payed and made reservations etc etc..

I've gotten out of Jury Duty before, it's pointless anyways.

  9. I just asked for a postponement because it was the first day of class on the court date. I am so excited to go though, I chose a date after my final to go back, it's my first jury duty summons!!

  10. This is a serious matter.  Chances are that one of the attorneys will find a reason to exclude you.  Skipping jury duty is a serious crime.  You may have to man up to it.  It is not so bad, you could learn something about the human nature and the law.

  11. Not sure where you are from, in Canada you cannot avoid going to the selection process, however, if you get called upon and questioned and feel that you cannot be unbiased during the trial, then the lawyers will most likely not select you.

  12. If you have a friend who's a doctor, have him forge a note. or make up something.

  13. A bigger idiot could take your place ,would you want that

  14. its your civic duty everyone has to do it at some point sorry

  15. Cancel your holiday and do your civic duty like the rest of us.

  16. Say that you can tell a person is guilty the first time you look at them.

  17. Just go. really you are making more of an issue out of it than need be. I have been called at least 4 different times, once for a Federal jury duty. I have yet to be seated as a juror. You show up in the morning, check in, watch a video on jury rules etc. and that's it. At mine there was a smoking section for those that smoked, vending machines, comfy chairs etc. Then you get a half four break for lunch which you can leave the building for. Then at about 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon you line up and get your whopping jury duty paycheck. During the day some people may be called out and escorted to a courtroom for some questioning from the defense attorneys and prosecutor. Even then the chances still are against you being seated. And for Gods sake don't try those lame tactics of saying you are prejudiced, or love cops etc. Now days that will not get you off. Like I said just go and relax, bring money for the vending machines, your cell phone, book or whatever. Good luck
