  1. The dogs can stay in the cabin if they fit inside an airline approved carrier that fits under the seat -- otherwise, they are cargo and have to stay in the unpressurized, non-climate controlled cabin.

  2. I think if your dog is used to car rides.... and stays calm.. it'll be fine on the plane.. but also think about the cabin pressure..it may be uncomfortable for the dog ... ive seen many small dogs travel on planes and they were fine..sometimes the flight attendants will even let you take it out

  3. I've never done it simply because I would rather drive then put my dog through that. Their ears are so sensitive I can't imagine how the popping must be in addition to the very loud engine! There are certain dogs, like pugs (basically all dogs with small smooshed noses) should NEVER be in a plane due to the low oxygen...I have seen people bring their service dogs onboard and the dogs do seem to do alright so who knows?

To the person who stated it would have to go as cargo if it didn't fit under seat ..that statement is only half true.

Us Airways NO LONGER allows pets in cargo and haven't since October 1996, BUT if you are to bring a pet on board the plane in the cabin, they must be able to fit in a carry on that can be placed under seat and small enough that they can stand up and turn around at will in the crate.

  4. why bring a dog? Where would it go to the bathroom at? And if it is a long flight, the dog will go without food/water.

Think about it, would you like to be stuff in a carrier, without food/water and restroom, and stuff with other lugguge in a dark small place?

  5. Shame on US Airways for letting dogs in to the cabin!!!

That is dreadfull, imagine having to sit near one!

Are you SURE they let dogs in the cabin?

What about the welfare of the other passengers?

  6. people do it all of the time and the airport has all sorts of regulations to keep the animal safe.

vets recommend that you give it a few doses of pain killer or something so its sleepy for the ride.  enjoy your trip!!

  7. Personally I would not bring a pet on the plane. Where would it go to the bathroom? It would be too hard to take care of it on the plane and would probably bother the person next to you. What if they had alergies?
