I have my interview today and I am confident I am going to do well...

But my question is....do I get the results today? Or do i still have to wait to know whether I passed or not until they send a letter.

Let me know since I am leaving in about 40 minutes :)

Thank you!

  1. Hello,

Mine is simular about the Oath Ceremony Date in Austin.

Is there anyone who recently had interviews at San Anotonio

  2. If you pass, then you'll kow because the interviewer will give you a form that says you passed.  You can take the form with you.  You'll probably get a letter in a month or two telling you where and when the naturalization ceremony is taking place.

After the interview, you will receive a Form N-652 providing the results of the interview, i.e., if the application has been granted, continued, or denied.

𐂾 Granted: If USCIS grants the application for citizenship, the individual will be sent a notice instructing him or her when and where to take the oath of allegiance and officially become a citizen. In some cases and locations, the individual may be able to take the oath of allegiance on the same day as the interview.

𐂾 Continued: If the applicant does not pass the English and/or civics tests, or if USCIS requests additional documents, the case will be “continued.” If this happens, the applicant will be asked to come back for a second interview, or to provide additional information.

𐂾 Denied: If USCIS denies the application, the applicant will receive a written notice explaining why it was denied. The applicant may request a hearing with a USCIS officer if he or she believes that the application was wrongly denied. The applicant must file a “Request for Hearing on a Decision in

Naturalization Proceedings under Section 336 of the Act,” form N-336, within 30 days of receiving a denial letter. If the applicant is denied citizenship after the hearing, he or she may file a petition for review of the decision in U.S. District Court.

  3. You'll know right away, my husband found out right after the interview that he passed.  2 weeks later he got a letter in the mail telling him when and where the ceremony was to take place.

Good Luck... It's such a beautiful event in one's life.
