Im applying for a job based in the US. The question is I am a Hepa-B infected person. I only found out that I have the virus when I was in high school. My mother told me that I wasnt given a vaccine. The twist is my mother doesnt have the virus. Now, what are the chances that I will be cleared and can obtain my US visa if I have the virus? I am checking the internet and I found out that you are supposed to be given a hepa-B vaccine

  1. You have to be accepted first by the company in the U.S. that your are applying with. They will be the one to petition for your visa. But one of the questions you will be asked is if you are infected with any communicable disease. That may lessen your chances of getting that working visa you need to work in the U.S. since you are.

  2. Actually, you won't have any problem. Hep B is not one of the diseases considered to be a public health threat that would or could prevent you from going. HIV, active TB, STDs, and leprosy are, Hep B is not.
