It depends. If the Russians are stupid enough to attack our ships, then I think we should declare war on Russia. Hopefully it will be peaceful. But I wouldn't blink an eye before I would even think about being intimidated or backing down from the Russians. Reagan wasn't scared of them and we shouldn't be either. If we want to help innocent people around the globe then we should be allowed to do so! If nobody likes it, don't participate! This is one of the greatest countries in the world! We help starving people all over the globe. Why do people hate us? How could you hate such a generous nation? Makes no sense to me! Just like How we helped the French during WWII and they turn around later and spit in our faces. They hate us! God has already blessed the USA, and will continue to do so as long as it loves his people and gives generously like it does now.

This is my understanding of U.S./Russian relations . . . we've had the capability to completely kill each other off for well over fifty years . . . obviously neither party has any interest in doing so . .. there's a difference between not liking each other and wanting to kill each other . . . we're just not there yet.

they might flex their muscle but I don't think russia wants a war with the united states. in a lot of ways the US is Russia's best friend. Russia has very wide borders, and isn't exactly friendly to the EU. If war did break out I really don't think Russia is in any position to win at all. They must surely know this. Sun Tzu himself would know this.

The commanders of the Russian and US task forces will follow the agreements our two countries made about not interfering with or threatening each others ships.

I expect that the Russians will have a ship follow and observe ours while being very careful to maintain a set distance, not interfere or block the passage of our ships nor take any threatening actions.
