I have a friend who is leaving for Navy Bootcamp on Aug 9. He gets back Oct. 11. I believe he is training to be a Navy SWCC. How many days leave will he get after coming home from bootcamp until he has to go to SWCC training? Where is SWCC training & how long is it? & when will he move onto a Navy base?

  1. It is in Coronado on a Navy base (amazing I know) its a fairly short school but then there is tons of fallow on training he is going to have a blast, as for his leave after boot camp I went right into my training pipeline then took leave after I graduated. It just depends on when the classes are.

  2. Most don't get leave after boot camp. He will be shipped straight from boot camp over to TSC Great Lakes for approximately 4-6 weeks. Then he'll go to SWCC training which is in (I believe) Florida. After his school is done he will get the opportunity to go on leave.

  3. usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjob1/a/n...  go there and find his job it will tell you approximately how long his a school will be. there is really no way to know if he will get leave in between b/c it depends on when his a school starts. usually you graduate from boot on a friday and leave for a school on a monday but it could be as soon as friday night. you never know

  4. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but most leave is granted after your initial training... so that means after he is finished with SWCC school. The first couple weeks are intense, so it might be had for him to get away, but after that it all depends on how well he is doing in training. Beyond that, it's had to say where he will end up... you can narrow it down to a couple of places that SWCC are stationed but it's up to the needs of the navy. Tell him to study that book they gave him when he enlisted... and when he gets to basic training, keep his mouth shut and volenteer for everything.

  5. Traditionally you get a week, but It really depends on what job he choose, and what they want, they could deni him his leave and send him directly to Aschool or they may say you have 3 days. I signed up for nuke and I know that I go directly from bootcamp to A-school. I'm afraid you will have to wait till he knows.

  6. no leave at all he will report directly to A school after Boot Camp.  he will not be permitted to live anywhere but the Barracks.
