US Nintendo DS Charging In The UK?

I have a US DS and I need to charge it in the UK. I've had several opinions but now I need to know whether I can simply buy a UK charger and charge up my US DS like that. I know there have been other questions like this but there have been no definitive answers so please

Will buying a UK charger for a US DS being used in the UK fry my DS?

Your DS will ber perfectly fine!  It won't fry, blow up, break in any way shape or form.  You have my word on that

The best solution i would say is to buy a US charger if you do not already have one.

Then buy a converter(plugs onto the end of the us plug so it can be plugged into UK mains).
