US Open (Golf) Question?

I'm a total golf idiot, so can someone explain what's happening with Tiger Woods and the other guy??? Is this the finals? What exactly is happening?

They tied after the regulation 72 holes (four rounds of 18 holes per day). For the U.S. Open, the tie-breaker is an additional 18 holes....if tied after the 18 holes, like today, they play "sudden death," where victory is determined when a player defeats his opponent at one hole.
