US Citizen, passport expired last year, was issued in 98. No info has changed. Any chance to get this thing renewed by Tuesday for a flight out of the US in to UK?

  1. I agree with Anthony. You really have no chance. If you were a UK resident (but US citizen) you could have it renewed in a week while you were there, but as things are. Not a chance.

  2. I used this type of service a few years ago and it went fine, I had my passport in a few days. Unless something has changed in the last few years, this should work out for you if they have time to get it back to you and you sent them all the paperwork filled out correctly. Good Luck

  3. Not a chance... you would've had better luck getting an extension on short notice if it were just about to expire. But once its expired, you're SOL.

  4. I lost my passport several years ago and went to the San Francisco passport office and got a new one in 8 hours. Back then it cost $100.00 and I had to have 2 passport photos and a certified birth certificate, a xerox will not do.

  5. If you live in or very near one of the cities that has a regional passport office there is a very very slim chance that you may be able to get it in time if you spend the whole day there.

These regional offices normally process a passport in two weeks.  BUT, if you can get in early and wait all day for it you may be able to get it.  Otherwise you best cancel your flight.

this is the passport office's home page:

  6. If you live near US passport agency,go to that office on Monday morning with your expired passport, two photos, birth certificate or citizenship paper. I believe that you can get a new passport

    with express processing fee.

Please check on website of US Passport agency for more information.
