Question:

US Virgin Islands- St Thomas, St Croix, or St John????

I want to go to either St Thomas, St Croix or St John in May. Does anyone know which island has the better beaches, accommodations, things to do, etc? Any suggestions are welcomed.

St John has one of the best beaches in the world. It's called Trunk bay. It is unbelieveable.

St. John. They have the most beautiful nature park and beaches.

Most to do- St. Thomas.

Accommodations- there's more in St. Thomas, but I feel what's on St. John is of a higher caliber.

Beaches- St. John

Personally, I'd stay on one and take a ferry from one to the other. It's only about 30 minutes and a few dollars.

St Thomas still has ALOT of tourist in May. Some days there are 6 cruise ships in port. That means around 13,000 tourist and about the same number of crew from the ship. If you like the shopping and the feel of alot of people, St Thomas is what you want. Stay at the Ritz or Marriott. St John is MUCH more layed back...Westin is my choice there..The beaches in St John are to die for. St Croix...dont waste your money..you will probably get mugged there anyway....

These three islands all have a lot to offer and amazing beaches!  I have been there many times.

If you start in St.Thomas, there is an inexpensive ferry you can take over to St. John to go to its world-class beaches.  I'm not sure if there is a ferry to St. Croix, however.  If not, there are probably inexpensive island-hopping flights.

St.Thomas has many beautiful shops, amazing people, and is a great cultural city overall.  i would highly reccomend it's aquarium- it is deffinetely worth it to go! The national park is absolutely beautiful!  Despite the environmental problems, it has been kept very well.  The city of Charlotte Amalie is AMAZING.

St. John has some of the most amazing beaches in the world.  If you are looking for the most popular beach, chose Trunk Bay.  If you are looking for an equally beautiful but less-busy and not-overcrowded beach, try one of the MANY other beaches that this island has to offer.

In conclusion-  My best recomendation for you is to stay on St.Thomas and visit St. John via the ferry as often as you wish.

I would suggest St. Thomas.  It's more developed and more of a tourist attraction.

St. Croix is nice too, but quiet.
