US Women Amateur needs 300 volunteers for the event in August
The US Women Amateur golf tournament is going to be held at The Country Club, Pepper Pike in August, with several prominent players in the field.
However, the event officials have requested that they need volunteers to arrange the event.
This will be the 112th edition of the US Women’s Amateur and the officials have expressed their concern over not being able to meet the requirements of the event.
According to the details, the tournament management needs over 300 volunteers to cater to the large field that is set to play in the second week of August.
The tournament is expected to stage a tough battle among 156 strong amateur players and this edition is being regarded crucial for the officials, as they need to make sure the event starts with typical efficiency.
Since the event is big enough for the management to carry out all the necessary tasks on its own, the need to have volunteers has intensified.
Sally Terrell, who is the Chairperson of Volunteer Services, said that the event this is year will gain massive media coverage, meaning there will a large number of spectators and guests.
She said that volunteers will surely keep the things running, staging the event in an efficient fashion.
Terrell added that it cannot be possible to arrange the prestigious tournament without the participation of volunteers.
She stated, “Volunteers are an intrinsic part of the success of this championship”.
Terrell was keen to point out that taking 300 volunteers on board will make sure that the spectators and players are served the way they should be.
She said that in addition to facilitating players and guests, volunteers will also get plenty of benefits from the event.
She said that the officials are making extra efforts to give volunteers the experience they need.
"Our goal is to provide our volunteers with a memorable and enjoyable experience of being part of this world-class championship," Terrell shared.
According to the requirements, volunteers wishing to join the event must not be more than 12 years old. Terrell said that the officials will stick to what they have outlined.
In order to carry out the assigned tasks on the course, kids will be given proper training well before the start of the tournament.
