If you are married to a Dutch woman and have a US born Daughter (small child). The child has double US/Dutch nationality, and is bilingual in English and Dutch. If your wife does not like living (home sick) in the United States any more, and she want to move back to her native country, would you move back to the Netherlands close to her parents (your child’s grand parents) with your Dutch wife and your US born Daughter and allow you child to go to a Dutch school.
Her mother wants her daughters home bond to be the Netherlands, just like her mother, and her closest family bonds will also be with her mother and her grandparents. She also want her child to grow up as a typical Dutch child, not an American. She basically wants the American father to move to the Netherlands, and live in the same household.
The main reason is that the child’s (Dimensions of child well-being) would be allot better if she were to live in the Netherlands, close to her Dutch grand parents, even is she grows up to be a typical Dutch child. The American Father beliefs would be the case. Basically the child would be better living of in the Netherlands with both parents. Even if the American father stays behind in America, and sends a check every month the child welfare (Dimensions of child well-being) would be a lot better if she lives Netherlands close to her Dutch grand parents, an only visit America in summer and holidays.
But it would only in the American father’s best interest to stay in America.
