The crooked government has collateralized The resources of this country to pay their bills . This has put the debt obligation on every man , women and child at near 1/2 a million dollars . So when some day a Chinese official shows up at your door with the mortgage and says pay up or go to the work camp. You'll know why . Just thank the crooks you'll been electing all these years .

The Chinese populous isn't quite wealthy enough to afford the goods that they produce yet, without causing widespread economic problems.

They need to ascertain that we can keep purchasing their products, so they are willing to loan us all this money, which comes back to them in the form of American consumption.

Eventually, China's economy will reach the point where they don't need the United States anymore, and then the US is obligated to pay them the debt in full.

Also, China can switch their reserves to Euros at any moment, which would plummet the American Economy.

Have you considered learning to speak Chinese? With almost (or more than) ten times the work force the US has, in cheap labor and skilled, and considering the rapid transfer of technology thanks to the internet, it seems the writing is on the wall. Or maybe the bone or the tortoise.
