How does that help us? I would feel a lot safer with a US oil company drilling then the Chinese. Any one remember the pet food recall? The toy recalls? The toothpaste and other recalls? They are already out there drilling.

  1. Bush wanted to drill too, but you have the Lefties in Congress and the Environmentalist doing what they can to run this country into the ground with their anti-American, anti-human policies.  They tell us it's "illegal" but let other countries do it.

    VOTE THEM OUT!

  2. YOU ARE OLD SCHOOL.  OIL AND  GASOLINE PROPULSION, BESIDES COAL SHOULD GO THE WAY OF THE HORSE AND BUGGY, THE MODEL T, COAL FURNACES, AND THE STEAM ENGINE.  WE BUTCHERED THE AMERICAN INDIAN TO MAKE WAY FOR PROGRESS.  WE MUST EXORCISE THIS 19TH & 20TH CENTURIES' DEPENDENCE UPON ENERGY SOURCES.  BUT DON'T FALL FOR THE PROPAGANDA OF NUCLEAR ENERGY.  REMEMBER WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH THE WASTE???  THE HALF LIFE ALONE CONSISTS OF MANY, MANY GENERATIONS.

  3. How is drilling offshore going to save the planet?

  4. No oil company, even foreign ones, can drill in US territorial waters without US government permission. And all oil companies, including US owned companies, can drill in the territorial waters of other countries that permit it.

  5. Have you ever been in the Gulf of Mexico? It's not true that we can't drill offshore. Those rigs are fishing hotspots!
