US to India Electrical Adapter?

What kind of adapter will I need to transform US plugs to Indian. I know I will need some sort of plug and transformer.

While the domestic electric suppl.y in U.S. is 110 volts, the same in India is 220/240 volts.  Hence you need an adaptor to convert the line voltage from 110 volts to 220/240 volts.

Check the manual for your product, and the range of voltages it works for. Voltages in India are 210V , there a lot of fluctuations in the voltage too. So your electical things may not work there.

If you are sure they'll work in India , then you just need to buy an adapter plug. they are basically either 2 or 3 way and have rounded tips instead of flat tips in USA.

If you are going to India then just buy an adapter in any roadside electrical store over there, they will be much cheaper then buying them in US.

In India they have 220 volts and you need three way plugs.Go to an Indian owned shop  and they will tell you.
