  1. Well, I would have to say that the three teams we are going to play are beatable. I say 3-0 to the USA against Japan, 2-1 to the USA against Nigeria, and 2-2 draw against the Netherlands and USA takes the group. If we can get things to click in the deeper stages than we can take a medal.

  2. Pretty bad.....Soccer is still like the metric system here....it exists but no one really care about it.

  3. USA have a tough group.....Netherlands won a Euro youth tournament, Nigeria has already won an Olympic gold, and Japan is always technically very strong---there won't be any easy games, but USA has a strong, talented team.  They will have a fighting chance against anybody in the world.  With a little luck, and a lot of hard work, they can advance, and could possibly even win a medal.

  4. Well...the USA played pretty well in the U-20 World Cup last year and the core of that squad will be involved in the Olympics since this is an U-23 tournament.

I think they have a decent shot of getting out of the group stages but I do feel Argentina, Brasil and Italy are perhaps the strongest teams and will be hard to beat if they play at their full potential.

  5. i just hope all the players are in their best form. when you think about it we sorta have an advantage because in europe the teams are really good and young players dont get to play as much. but in mls the teams are not as advanced so more young players get to play, so it really looks like our team is filled with mls stars.

Heres who i think are players to watch out for:

    Davies,Altidore,Mcbride,Kljestan,Adu,E...

weve got a very attacking squad and a pretty strong defense.

group players to watch out for:

    Japan:

    Keisuke Honda, Kajiyama,Tadaneri Lee

    Holland:

    Makaay,Babel,Drenthe,Maduro,De Guzman

    Nigeria:

    Ekpo,Edu,Obinna

    USA Prediction:

    3-1 Japan

    2-2  nedtherlands

    2-0 Nigeria

im basically expecting a strong game in attack, not the best game in defense but still pretty good with parkhurst and ianni

  6. well netherlands rapeeeddd in euro. they did really well and unexpected. so i would expect some challenge from them. buti would honestly expect US to get first in group stage, then not go very far at all after that.
