USA Basketball team won a close one vs. Australia

Question

Do you think Ray Allen should have been on the team? He would definitely have added another 3 point shooting threat to the team. What do you guys think?

I think winning by 2-4 is close.  They won by 11 points, which is not really close.  It's not a blow out, but definitely not as close as you're making it seem.  I don't think they desperately need Ray Allen.  They're a good team, and will get the job done.

i think he should be in the team, but why do USA need so much 3pt shooters...in fiba even dwyane wade is 3pt shooter cause is not NBA range, so 3pt we don't need him, plus that is ray allen's choice, maybe they asked to be in it but he might said no, because the celtics had the most work in the whole nba team's, they had the most practices in the whole NBA.Like kevin garnett they asked him to be in it but he said no...ray allen is tired.

I think there's alot of guys that aren't on the team that should have been but it's so hard to decide who should be on the team because there's so much talent in the NBA.

They have the talent, just hope this is the one bad game to get out of their system and they can elevate their game when the olympics start.  I was disgusted with the performance against australia.  I still expect big things and for them to win by at least 15ppg all the way to gold.

I don't think so. In the playoffs allen hit a slump at one point, in the beginning averaging only around 6 points a game. Then he did some good things, but also bad so him on the team wouldn't be good b/c he's not very consistent

No, USA doesnt need Ray Allen, and nobody should be worried at all about the "close" 11 point win over Austrailia. This is the 4th game theyve played in 5 days. I would imagine they would be tired after 4 consecutive games running up and down the floor scoring 30 fastbreak points a game. They were tired and slowed things down a bit against Australia. When the real games start, they will have a day to rest between every game, and should have no problem dominating everyone in their path. and im out
