USA Cycling announces final Team’s Roaster for the 2012 season
USA Cycling has announced the final team’s roster for the 2012 season. The 16 UCI-registered teams will compete with a total number of 34 women’s and men’s domestic elite teams.
The announced teams and players will constitute the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar and also the National Criterium Calendar for the season ahead.
The men’s teams comprise of 23 elite amateur teams, 2 Pro Continental teams and 12 UCI Continental teams for the NCC and NRC titles.
Whereas, the women’s side include 11 elite teams along with two UCI women’s teams to compete in the running season.
The Domestic Elite Men’s teams to ride the event include, Team 160over90 p/b Vie 13, Astellas Oncology Cycling Team p/b ABD, Team Athletix Cycling Benefiting Globalbike, Team Bissell-ABG-NUVO and Team BikeReg.com/Cannondale Elite Cycling Team.
Team California Giant Berry Farms/Specialized, Team CashCall Mortgage, Team Champion System p/b Stan's NoTubes/CRCA, ELBOWZ Racing, Team Gateway Harley-Davidson.
Team Hagens Berman Cycling, IS Corp Cycling Team, Juwi Solar Elite Cycling Team and Team Kelly Benefit.
Team Stratergies/Lateral Stress Velo, Team Landis/Trek, Team Marc Pro-Strava, Mercy Cycling Team, Team Mt Borah Minerva Design p/b Basso, Spy-Swamis Development Elite Team.
Team Stage 17 Racing, tan's NoTubes / AXA Equitable, Texas Roadhouse Cycling Team, and Team XO Communications p/b Cisco.
However, the domestic Elite Women’s Teams include Team Cynergy Cycles p/b Missing Link Coaching, Team FCS/ Rouse p/b Mr Restore, Team ISCorp Cycling Team, Team Landis/Trek, Team Louis Garneau Factory Team p/b FUJI and Team NOW and Novartis for MS.
Team Optum Pro Cycling p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, Team Pepper Palace/Spin-Tech Training p/b ABRC, Team Primal/MapMyRider Women's Racing, Team Kenda p/b Gear Grinder and Team Vanderkitten-Focus have also been shortlisted to ride the season ahead.
Most of America’s top cycling teams are lining up to ride the National Racing Calendar’s kick-off event.
The teams are also eyeing the Redlands Bicycle Classics in California, scheduled from March 22-25, along with the Cigar City Brewing Criterium on March 31, 2012.
The only two UCI Professional Continental teams announced by the USA Cycling are Team Type 1-Sanofi and UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team.
All the American teams are training hard for the Californian race scheduled by the end of March.
