USA Economy Question?

I live in a very rich country (Middle East), we get the litre of petrol/gas for (0.17USD), and everything seems the same here nothing changed, but we truly suprise when a country like the US says everything got expensive, Is this True or Just False talk?

1. Is it true that in The US food got more expensive.

Hello, I live in the U.S. (Florida to be more specific.) and YES prices are skyrocketing. In the past two years alone gasoline has gone up almost $2.50 per gallon (It's somewhere around $4.30). Food prices have also gone up (This is due to corn being used for fuel {Ethanol 85 or whatever?} and the increase in gas prices making transporation prices go up). Milk, eggs, bread, and other necessity food products have gone up 5-20% in the last few years alone.

In conclusion, yes prices of U.S. food HAS gone up. (Mostly due to gas prices.)
