USA Economy Question?

I live in a very rich country (Middle East), we get the litre of petrol/gas for (0.17USD), and everything seems the same here nothing changed, but we truly suprise when a country like the US says everything got expensive, Is this True or Just False talk?

1. Is it true that in The US food got more expensive.

  1. Hello, I live in the U.S. (Florida to be more specific.) and YES prices are skyrocketing. In the past two years alone gasoline has gone up almost $2.50 per gallon (It's somewhere around $4.30). Food prices have also gone up (This is due to corn being used for fuel {Ethanol 85 or whatever?} and the increase in gas prices making transporation prices go up). Milk, eggs, bread, and other necessity food products have gone up 5-20% in the last few years alone.

    In conclusion, yes prices of U.S. food HAS gone up. (Mostly due to gas prices.)


  2. Yes there is increased prices mainly due to increased costs in production and transportation.
