The USA’s team for its Fed Cup tie against France has been announced and the two most notable absences are Serena and Venus Williams – again. Serena was a late withdrawal from last year’s Fed Cup final against Italy, where neither sister played. In their absence, Melanie Oudin, Shenay Perry, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Liezel Huber will take to the court.
