USA Hockey announces players to take part in All-American Prospects game
On 29th September 2012, All-American Prospects game would be held for the first time at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, and teams for the game were announced by USA Hockey on Wednesday.
There were total of 40 players announced, 31 of which are from United States Hockey League (USHL), 22 of which are also in USA National Team Development Program.
Skip Prince, President and Commissioner of the USHL told that they are very excited and to be a part of this event and it is an honour for them that 31 of the total 40 players, which are about 80%, are from 16 teams of United States Hockey League. He is
sure that it would be a great hockey match played at Buffalo as he said,
"We're excited to participate in this new showcase for America's best young hockey players. We're also honored that more than 80 percent of these outstanding young prospects have direct ties to the USHL's 16 member clubs, including the NTDP. There is going
to be great hockey played this fall in Buffalo."
The main thing about is event is to promote young players and give them a platform to prove themselves and there are many school, college and university players who would be part of the event. There are five such players included in the 40 players list.
There are also some American-Canadians in the list, which are playing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in Canada. There are players of Waterloo Black Hawks USHL, who will be participating in the 2012 Junior Club World Cup tournament Aug. 18-26 in Omsk,
Russia.
There is also Taylor Cammarata, 2011-2012 Rookie of the year of USHL on the list, as well as Ian McCoshen, the player whom NHL Central Scouting declared as an “A” list prospect.
Following is the final list of 40 players who are named by the USA Hockey:

Forwards: Evan Allen, Justin Bailey, Taylor Cammarata, Cole Cassels, Dawson Cook, Adam Erne Hudson Fasching, Ryan Fitzgerald, Ryan Hartman, Tyler Kelleher, Matt Lane, Jimmy Lodge, Anthony Louis, Sean Malone, Mike McCarron, Tyler Motte, Ross
Olsson, J.T. Compher, , Austin Farley, Luke Johnson, , Quentin Shore, Frank Vatrano, Jacob Montgomery, Devin Tringale.

Defensemen: Will Butcher, Portland, Clint Lewis, Scott Savage, Keaton Thompson, Cody Corbett, Dakota Mermis, Trevor Hamilton, Steve Santini, Seth Jones, Gage Ausmus, Ian McCoshen, Mike Downing.
