USA Volleyball announces beach coaching accreditation course
The USA Volleyball (USAV) has announced the dates for the upcoming Beach Coaching Accreditation Level I (BCAP) course.
The Olympic Training Centre in Chula Vista, California, will host the activity from February 11-12. The course will be open for coaches of all levels but the USAV Beach IMPACT (Increased Mastery and Professional Application of Coaching Theory) course is
mandatory for the BCAP course.
The coaches without Beach IMPACT Course will not be eligible to join the training facility. In this regard, USA Volleyball will organise a Beach IMPACT Webinar prior to the BCAP course.
The Beach IMPACT session will be held on February 9-10, which will provide a chance to the aspiring coaches to attend the BCAP course.
The USAV Director of Beach Programs, Mr. Ali Wood Lamberson, will supervise the BCAP. In addition, the USAV Coordinator of Beach Programs and Head Coach of the United States’ FIVB (Federation International de Volleyball), Jon Aharnoi and Ohio Valley Region
Education Director, Don Burroughs will also attend the training course. Don Burroughs will act as IMPACT Master Instructor.
The BCAP course is likely to attract a large number of coaches, who have the desire to coach at different clubs and also at NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). The BCAP Level I certification is necessary for the coaches to teach at designated
USAV camps and clinics. The holder of BCAP course certification will be authorised to conduct programs at national level.
The Beach Coaching Accreditation Level 1 course will feature different on-court and in-classroom training modules. The Beach Volleyball teaching skills will be on top of the agenda.
Insight into motor skill theory, fundamental teaching skills, coaching philosophy, athlete safety, ethics, coaching essentials, basic offensive organisation, drill design, practice, preparation and execution will be given to the participants of BCAP course.
The USA Volleyball is very much concerned about the future crop of coaches. The USAV is providing this unique opportunity to learners to become familiar with the Beach Volleyball Organisation.
The BCAP Course will surely be a helpful for coaches to learn new tips and better techniques. The online registration for the BCAP Level I and IMPACT Master Program is open for a few more days. You better hurry up and register yourself.
