USA and Margaret Thatcher?

Why are there so many Americans that admire her ? this is the women that would let pensioners die, World war II veterans among them - so why ?

It's possible we don't have all the facts.  She presented herself and the UK as a whole as a strong ally to the US during the 1980's.  We don't seem to follow the ins and outs of UK politics as much as some UK residents seem to get involved in ours.  For example, I don't know what the h**l you are talking about in regards to letting people die.
