  1. The entire human race only contributes 2% of the CO2 in the atmosphere.

The other 98% is from Mother Nature, so how can we stop the planet from releasing it?

The Kyoto treaty is a joke, by the way.

  2. I would say that he probably does know, but refuses to do anything, because he is a C grade idiot.

  3. I have strongly disapproved of his presidency, but let's be a little realistic while insulting him, shall we?

Of course he knows that we have the highest emissions. We all know that....and that's actually the bedrock of his argument. Our economy is set up in such a way that, if we cut emissions quickly and suddenly, our economy would collapse. Conclusion: cutting emissions damages the economy.

In so far as this is true, he was absolutely right. Instead of backing a treaty that nobody was able to live up to (and, the last time I checked, which I'll admit was 2 years ago, nobody has been compliant), he instead wanted strategies to limit emission growth. He has sought compromise measures...changes that allow for rapid economic growth, but without equally large levels of emission production. He has been largely unsuccessful...environmentalists argue that his goals in emissions weren't low enough; most argue that the downturn of the economy was the result of several other factors, and that a larger reduction requirement would actually backfire, causing businesses to move overseas or not expand domestically due to operating costs.

What he can be criticized about is his argument that third world countries are not bound by the treaty. They are required to take action to prevent large scale buildups, but they are not required to cut emissions. They are not bound by the same terms...these were the terms he was willing to honor.

  4. No thats why millions hate him, because he is a c grade idiot.

  5. Bush as well as most americans know Kyoto is nothing but a joke and is ineffective except for lining pockets of those who dreamed it up.

  6. Well it looks like YOU need to stop breathing.. No the plants have eliminated most of that. Our oxygen level is 20.9% of our atmosphere and has been there for many years. The CO2 level is about 300 ppm. and to change that to percent of atmosxphere it is .000,300% and that is nothing.....

  7. You may want to check your history, pal.  Clinton avoided Kyoto before Bush ever had a chance to, so blaming Bush for not signing it is half right.  And not signing that joke of a document was one of the smartest things both presidents have done during their terms.  All that serves to do is limit a country's ability to have a prosperous economy because the restrictions are so laughable, they're not even realistic.  Also, China is now the world's top polluter, so you might want to consider aiming your poorly based argument their way.  Air quality in the United States is much better now than it has been in several decades by the way.  But of course, what am I thinking by not blaming the United States for all the world's problems? Everyone else with some sort of gripe tends to make us a scapegoat, so why not just jump on the bandwagon right?
