USA v Argentina – http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Americas Region Division One Twenty20 - Match Recap
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usa-c759 150/8 (20/20 overs) v Argentina 84/6 (20/20 overs) – USA won by 66 runs
Cricket fans from the United States of America (USA) had another chance to watch a sensational match in the ongoing International Cricket Council (ICC) Americas Region Division One Twenty20 tournament, as the home side handed a pulverising defeat of 66 runs
to Argentina, after posting a staggering total of 150 runs at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.
After winning the toss, the US skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harold-William-Stephenson-c61707 J. Massiah, with the sun shining down on Florida after overnight showers, decided to bat first.
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gowkaran-Roopnarine-c60447 graced an opening stand of 38 runs as they played splendidly crafted shots all around the park, giving spectators plenty to cheer about.
On the second delivery of the 6th over, Nadkarni finally lost his wicket after scoring 18 runs off 16 deliveries. He was clean bowled by Argentinean pacer, the 33-year-old, Gary http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Scholes-Savage-c68692.
A delivery later, the skipper Massiah, who had come at number three, was adjudged leg-before-wicket without scoring a run. With two wickets down on 38 runs, Argentina were beginning to make a comeback while USA were looking to be heading for a total meltdown.
However, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aditya-Mishra-c42023 and  Roopnarine stabilised the situation and prevented the team from taking a nose dive. Both batsmen took the opposition to task as they clobbered away even the finest of deliveries, wreaking the morale of Argentina’s bowlers.
The two phenomenal batsmen took the score to 99 in the 13th over, which was a great comeback by USA. However, before the batsmen could cause any more damage, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alejo-Tissera-c43099 managed to sneak a delivery right through Roopnarine’s defences as the
ball rammed into the stumps.
With four wickets down, Mishra kept the onslaught going as he took the Argentinean bowling apart by smacking belligerently at will.
However, on the first delivery of the 15th over, Argentina finally saw Mishra’s back when Tissera, for the second time, managed to hit timber. The batsman walked back to the pavilion after playing a knock of 41 runs off 27 deliveries.
In the later part of the innings, wicketkeeper/batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Akeem-Levar-Dodson-c42529 posted 16 runs off 14 deliveries to help his side reach a daunting tally.
With a humongous total in their sights, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hernan-Williams-c63093 tried to give their squad a better start as they began the innings tentatively, trying to save their wickets early
on. Nonetheless, the plan back fired as the USA pacers got their first victim in the 5th over when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Williams-c98034 was trapped right in front his stumps by pacer Usman Shuja. The batsman could only manage to score 11 runs off 12 deliveries.
The number three batsman, Benjamin Precious, then lost his wicket after posting 13 runs when he was adjudged leg-before-wicket in the 11th over, off a delivery by Bhim George.
With 42 for 2 Argentina suffered another loss in the same over when after playing an innings of 17 runs off 29 deliveries, opener Ferguson had his stumps uprooted.
The remaining batsmen just couldn’t stand up against the bowling they were facing and ultimately the whole team crashed after scoring 84 runs.
Bhim George was named as the Man of the Match for his astounding bowling performance as he snatched five wickets in just four overs by conceding only 9 runs.
