Do you agree that Alicia Sacramon was robbed by the judges by allowing Cheng Fei to advance even though she landed on her knees?

  1. No. She did a much easier routine than the Chinese which matters a lot. Chang Fei did a lot of twisting while Alicia's was very simple. Clean landing is not everything, besides Alicia's landing wasn't that clean either. You earn a lot of points if you do difficult routine.

Commentators are so biased esp. that Bela guy coz he is the Manager of US gymnastics team.

  2. i love how everyones asking this question, yes i feel the same way.. but i feel the same way not only for usa but for a lot of countries.. i mean how is this possible..that someone who falls gets and better score then someone who was flawless. im very confused.. but now im also starting to take in consideration the fact that there's rules that apply and there's something behind it,, but i think whatever they are taking of for, they are taking out more than needed.

  3. The new scoring system is totally different from the old system. 1/3 of the points are now the result of difficulty level, while the other 2/3 is how well someone performs a technique (execution).

It was on the highest difficulty, and Cheng scored 15 something...which is a bad score.

    For example:

    6.5 difficulty (max) + 10 execution (max) = 16.5 max

If you do everything right and mess up the landing, you get less than a single point deducted.

For Cheng Fei's case, she had around 1 point deducted because of the fall...which explains why her score was in the low 15's.

  4. Yes! I was so mad, she should have taken bronze! Even that Romanian/USA coach (I forget his name) was so upset he was about to cry.  And now Nastia was robbed on the uneven bars, even though she tied with the Chinese gymnast!  But it seemed like no one really rocked the vault, no one could stick a landing!

  5. Cheng Fei landed on her knees and still beat Sacramone

I think Sacramone should retire =)

    But seriously, Sacramone had a difficulty of around 11.9 (6.3 + 5.4)

    Cheng Fei had a difficulty of 13 (6.5 + 6.5)

A 1.0 deduction for landing on you knees and Cheng Fei still had enough in the bank to beat Sacramone

  6. Of course she was, but it's par for the course these olympics.  They just want china to win

  7. I agree with you, they just want China to win, as always.

  8. You can't take Bela's word, he's old, he probably doesn't remember what he saw.

I thought Cheng Fei's routine was harder to begin with.
