USAV shifts headquarters to new location – Volleyball News
In recent years, the exciting sport of volleyball has grown in America very quickly and the driving force behind this progress has been USA Volleyball (USAV). The ever increasing passion for volleyball has not only increased the number of fans but the staff
of USAV has also seen a noticeable boost. Hence, the USAV has made a move to purchase a new office.
The news was publicised on Wednesday, December 14 that USAV will shift its office to a new place in the same city. Currently, the office is located at 715 South Circle Drive in Colorado Springs and it has been here for almost 12 years now.
Reportedly, USAV completed the purchase of a new building at 4065 Sinton Drive in Colorado Springs on December 9 and has plans to shift to the new office in March, 2012. For now, the staff will work from the old office as the new building will be modified
according to the needs of the staff. Necessary office space and working areas for employees will be remodelled. Currently, USAV has more than 50 staff members at the headquarter office. The new office building is approximately 30,000-square, which is more
spacious as compared to the current building (12,500-square feet).
Furthermore, the USAV will keep its three distant offices in Anaheim and Hermosa in California and Edmond, Oklahoma.
The USA Volleyball Chief Executive Officer, Doug Beal, told that it was their long-term commitment to set up a bigger office in Colorado. He added: “USA Volleyball is extremely excited to make this step into property ownership with an upgraded environment
for our staff to handle all continued growth for the foreseeable future.”
The United States Olympic Committee CEO, Scott Blackmun, wished USAV good luck for their new venure. He praised the great work of USAV management and he especially mentioned the effort of its chief executive officer. He stated: “The sport of volleyball is
thriving in the United States, and under Doug Beal’s leadership. USA Volleyball has done something every business hopes to do; they outgrew their space. This move is good for USA Volleyball and will no doubt ensure Doug and his team will continue to succeed.”
