USB Flash drive suddenly not recognized in WinXP

I have an 8GB Verbatim USB flash drive that was working fine for several weeks but now XP suddenly no longer recognizes it.I've tried using add/remove hardware, update USB drivers, etc.The drive works fine in 2 other XP machines that I have.Any suggestions?thank you.
