USB device not recognized? (Ipod)

Question

Everytime I try to connect my iPod and sync it. It says USB Device not recognized. What does that mean? is there anyway that this can be fixed so that I can contine to use my iPod?

That can sometimes happen if you haven't installed the software before plugging in your iPod. Make sure your iPod isn't connected and then install the software on the CD. If it still isn't recognised then you might have to update iTunes.

Get a shorter cable or something like this.
