USBI phone fraud. Adds themselves to your bill.?

I just got my at&t phone bill today and it has USBI on it as my long distance service provider. I did a google search and I'm not the only one. There are several others who're getting this added onto their bill. I had at&t long distance for 10cents long distance and 5cent local toll calls. I got my phone bill today which ran about $35.00-$40.00.on a regular basis *which dsl* now it's $98.00! I called the company up and asked them why they changed my long distance. They claimed they did not and exclaimed my husband did. My husband is not even on my phone bill, besides why would he change it from 5 cents local longdistance to 25 cents per local long? Makes no sense. She told me my husband did it and I said he wouldn't do that. She asked me to verify his birthdate and name and stupid me did and she says yes, that is what I have on file.

Looking for anyone else who wants to team up & take action. Email me. Perhaps a class action is in store. charged me $5 to send me my at&t bill! lol

  1. Also, report both AT&T and USBI to the BBB:

It sounds like this falls under Slamming:

You may be able to report them both to the FCC for Slamming:

  2. USBI is a billing clearinghouse for many small-time long-distance carriers. They themselves do not provide long distance service. And probably you still have AT&T LD service as your primary carrier.

What could've happened is that your hubby used a 10-10-x*x number, and that company uses USBI to attach themselves to your AT&T bill. It's sneaky, but not fraud.
