  1. Two words: AS IS

    Fix it yourself

  2. Sorry, you have no recourse if you bought the car with no warranty.

Whenever you purchase a used car, you should always have an independent mechanic inspect it.

They could have told you of any potential issues with the car.

A $50-$70 investment could save you thousands.

Lemon laws only apply to new cars.

  3. Under the lemon law you are protected in Ma, the only thing is i dont know how long it lasts or if other states have it, but the law staits if a major issue comes up in so many days the seller has to fix, or pay for the fixing of the vehicle or give a refund look it up for your state

lemon laws apply to all cars in Ma it depends on the state, I just bought a used car and I know for a fact its protected

  4. Next time, since this main point was already covered, it would be helpful to yourself if you provide the year/make/model/engine/transmission of the vehicle you have and maybe someone will chime in with probable causes of that no start condition as pretty much all cars have their own unique quirks we have come across.

You never know when someone else in here has had the same issue with the same vehicle and can help before you go all batty over the dealer...with whom you have no recourse with anyway!

  5. There may be some state laws, depending on where you live, and if it was purchased from a dealer. If it was a private seller, then probably not much you can do about it. Check the battery first, if nothing wrong there, then lightly tap the starter with a small hammer, you'd be amazed at how often this works, but thats a temporary fix. No crank problems are usually simple ones though.

  6. No AS IS means no warranty. No return, no lemon law only thing you can do is fix it and drive it. May be a minor problem all used cars need something......ujn
